Well, I did it again, I survived BlogHer!! I will say that it was even more non-stop this time around, thanks to my fabulous travel companions, Bridgette and Cissy. I seemed that we were on the run, from the time we woke up at 7am till after midnight each day, but it was well worth it! We attended many parties, which is where I learned about so many of the fab products. I will TRY to keep my list short so you are not overwhelmed, but I make no promises.
Thursday night started with the Avery Social Luxe Lounge . These girls know how to chill!! I was pampered with a manicure by OPI and you will love their new fall line of colors, I then had my hair curled and my make-up touched up, and then I was nice a relaxed by the Aveda team who gave a great massage. And, that was just the pampering part of this party! I was then treated to a fashion consult by designer and owner of Yummy Tummy, who is sending me a Rockin’ slimming tank. Bye, Bye muffin top! I also got a taste of Ghirardelli’s Luxe Milk Chocolate , which is made with all natural ingredients.
I then headed to UL’s Safe ‘n Swanky Rooftop Pool Party, which was super relaxing and very informative. I learned all about how to stay safe during all the seasons. Make sure all the lights you buy to decorate for Halloween and Christmas have the UL approved label. And, before you start cookin’ up that Thanksgiving meal, remember that Thanksgiving is the No. One day for home fires. Be sure to check out UL’s site for more information on how to stay safe.
Friday began with a bang as it started with Getting Gorgeous! Hosted by Audrey of Mom Generations and Vera from Im Not Obsessed. This event was all about feeling beautiful from the inside out. I was lucky enough to be fitted for a pair of jeans from Miraclebody, which really do make me look 10 lbs thinner!! I then learned all about K-Mart’s new fall line for around $20 a piece, and I might have to head over to my local store. Bling was then my thing, with an awesome marcasite bracelet from Lia Sophia. Then, I was off to have my hair styled by a Remington stylist, who curled my hair with their newest flat iron. By the time I left, I felt FAB!!!
After I was all prettied up, I spent some time at the conference before the parties started up again.
Friday night began with a Robeez (pronounced Rob (like the boys name) bees) party to introduce them as the newest member of the Stride Rite Family! This party included a sneak peek at their newest line of Robeez and even allowed us to use our creativity to design a pair of shoes. I am keeping my fingers crossed that mine and Kate’s (The Shopping Mama) design wins!!
It was then off to the Hallmark Party to end the night. And, what a way to end it!!! This party was a Christmas Spectacular, from the food, decorations, and cocktails all the way to their St. Nick. Their Santa is much cuter than the ones I see at the mall.LOL Here we learned about the new recordable books, which are perfect for families who are separated, they are releasing and we decorated cookies to take home to our kids.
Saturday morning began with a Double Duty Diva meet-up, thanks to Coffee4Less.com. This was a relaxing get together of some great bloggers that were ready to slow down the pace and just hang for a while.
Then it was off to Scholastic to learn all about what they have in store! Of course, I was immediately drawn to the new Star Wars books that will be release this fall!LOL But, I also learned that you can do your Scholastic book orders online and how much my book purchases help my child’s teacher. This company is great and is really focusing on ways to get our kids to love reading!! I love the new series that incorporate reading and online videos, which I think is great for tweens!
As you can tell, this was a FULL schedule, but totally worth all the running around! Thanks to all the above sponsors for making my trip so awesome!
