When Wyatt started Kindergarten this year, we had no clue what was in store. He started bringing home homework and this was all new to us. We began having him sit at the kitchen table, but that was not only distracting, but sometimes he ended up with sticky work. This is when hubby and I decided that getting him his own work space was our best option. We wanted something that was stylish enough for him to think it was cool, but logical enough that it would grow with him and work for many years to come. Legare Furniture ended up being all that we needed.
Here is some information about Legare Furniture from their site: The design of the Legare desks was conceived in late 1999 in the offices of Stick Networks, a small, start-up internet company in Dallas, TX. Having little capital to buy furniture, one of the founders, Brock Brandenberg, decided to design and build an affordable desk that would have all the features of furniture that they couldn’t afford, but that could be built locally on a very low budget.
Legare furniture is packed with remarkable innovations that you simply won’t find in other modular furniture. Patented tool-free assembly, incredibly strong locking tab/slot design, integrated cable routing and many other forward-thinking user features, are just a few of the innovations you’ll find in every piece of Legare furniture.
Here are some of the features about Leagare that I think are awesome:
– Their desks offer a versatile asymmetric design, which allows most all Legaré desks, extenders & media towers to be reverse-configured for right hand or left hand installation. (Necessity for my left handed baby!)
– All of their furniture features tool free assembly, meaning even a kid could put it together.
– Their kids furniture selection offers multiple desk choices in really cute and bright color combinations.
Legare Furniture was nice enough to send us their Kid’s Multi-Pack Desk in Orange and Cream to review. Here is a picture of the desk, after Wyatt made it his own, with all his stuff.
I was really impressed with how quickly and easily we assembled the desk. Hubby and I didn’t even get frustrated with each other and I think it actually took us longer to take the pieces out of the box than it did to put it together.LOL We love the color and functionality of this piece and Wyatt loves having his own space. This desk is a perfect size and leaves him room to grow. I must admit that he is much more willing to do his work, now that he has his own space. Here is Wyatt working at his new desk:
Legare’s “no tool- no hardware” assembly is really neat and works better than I thought it would. This desk will be the perfect place for Wyatt to do his work for years to come. And I love that he has shelves and a file cart to keep all his treasures.
Legare offers a full line of furniture including desks, book cases, tables, media centers and more.
