I like helping my sister out however I can, even if it is just sharing a new movie with her to keep her kids happy.  Since she has two girls, their movie interests tend to run opposite of what we are used to at my house.  I knew immediately when I found out about Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars on DVD, that my nieces would love it!

Here is the synopsis of Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars:  In a modern twist on the popular book series, Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars begins with aspiring writer Harriet The Spy Welsch determined to become class blogger. Competing against her supreme nemesis, Marion Hawthorne, Harriet will do whatever it takes to win the coveted title. But when it begins to look like Marion might take the lead, Harriet becomes desperate to figure out a way to get the most blog hits.

Vivendi Entertainment was nice enough to send me over a copy to review, which I passed on to my nieces, so they could let me know what they thought.  Claire, the 8 year old, said that it was “really good” and then asked if she could keep it.  I told her that it was based on a book series, which she is now interested in reading.  Although she didn’t understand what a blog was, she got what the movie was about and wants her friend Brooke.

Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars is available now on DVD for $19.99 and has a running time of 90 minutes.  You can purchase this DVD now from amazon.com.
