Review and Giveaway: Kikkoman helps “Kikk”-up Thanksgiving CLOSED

I will admit that I have never been in charge of the turkey for Thanksgiving dinner, and that has been fine with me.  I don’t know why, but cooking the turkey always seems like such a daunting task, which is why I was a little hesitant when Kikkoman asked me to test out some Thanksgiving recipes that included a turkey.  I took the challenge and I think I passed!  Kikkoman wants families to think outside the box this year and use non-traditional products to make their Thanksgiving meal.

Here is some information about Kikkoman from their site:   Since 1957, KIKKOMAN SALES USA, INC.,  has expanded from its corporate headquarters in San Francisco, California, to seven regional sales offices. Our production facilities, Kikkoman Foods, Inc., produce soy sauce and other convenient Asian-style sauces for distribution in the United States and Canada.  At Kikkoman, we’ve been following the same time-honored natural brewing process to make soy sauce for more than 300 years. So it should come as no surprise that we’re a company with a healthy respect for tradition .

Kikkoman products include soy sauces, teriyaki sauces, teriyaki takumi sauces, marinades, ponzu sauces, pearl soymilk, and more.  There website www.kikkomanusa.com offers readers a large variety of recipes and cooking tips.

Kikkoman was nice enough to send me some samples of their products along with some Thanksgiving recipes to try.  I cooked up one of their recipes, which was a turkey in their savory turkey brine.  I paired this with my green bean and artichoke casserole, but replaced my usual bread crumbs with their Panko Bread Crumbs.  The turkey was really easy to brine and came out super juicy and had great flavor.  Wyatt ate it right up and asked for seconds.  The Panko Bread crumbs added more crunch to my casserole than it usually has and I was happy with the outcome.  Here is a picture of how our meal looked:

I was surprised by how easy it was to cook a turkey and that it came out so good.  I have a few other Kikkoman recipes that I would like to try now that I have my confidence.LOL
