Musselman’s has decided once again to kick off the New Year by partnering with the National Breast Cancer Foundation. They would like to help people start 2011, by taking two easy steps that make a huge difference, through their plan for a healthy New Year: Simple Steps, Big Impact!
Simple Step 1: Musselman’s understands the importance of early detection, and is hopeful that our partnership with the NBCF will encourage women to take this first Simple Step in improving your health by having a mammogram in 2011.To help with this cause, in the month of January, for every package of Musselman’s Natural and Healthy Picks Apple Sauce purchased, we will donate ten cents to the NBCF. Last year we reached $85,000, and we’d love to reach an even higher amount this year!
Simple Step 2: Musselman’s Apple Sauce would like you to substituting natural apple sauce for the oil in your favorite baked goods. The result is great, moist taste with less fat and calories! Just swap out the amount of vegtable oil you would use for an equal amount of applesauce. While I am not yet sent by my doctor for a mammogram, I am all about trying to eat healthier. I made my usual recipe of banana bread and substituted applesauce like Musselman’s recommended and it was YUMMY! I will admit that I have been using the fat/calorie saving trick for a while, but am happy to share it with you.
