Lately I have been working with Blake on his letter and number recognition. He is not as interested as I would like, so I am having to be creative. While in search of something that would peak his interest, I came across a new line of DVDs that I thought he would love, Animal ABC’s and Animal 123’s!
Here is the synopsis of these new DVDs: Introduce preschoolers to letters and numbers using the amazing animal kingdom! Animal ABCs and Animal 123’s strengthens letter, number and animal name recognition by teaching children about animals from around the globe. Sing along as we explore Earth’s animals, from the cute and cuddly to the wild and wonderful. These DVDs include fun facts, unique songs and a bonus sections with flashcards. Practicing your ABCs and 123s has never been so fun!
NCircle Entertainment was nice enough to send me a copy of each of these titles for review. Blake was immediately interested in them when he saw giraffes and penguins and asked to watch them. I put in the Animal ABC’s first, because giraffes are his favorite, and waited to see if he would be entertained. I was surprised by how entertained he was, since he sat through about the first 30 minutes without moving! I love how these DVDs repeat their alphabet and counting throughout, and the songs are cute! The Animal 123’s had me counting along about halfway through and the animals are adorable.
Animal ABC’s and Animal 123’s are 60 minutes each in length and they retail for $9.99 each. They are set to be released on July 12, 2011, but you can pre-order online now from NCircle Entertainment or find them in your local Toys R Us.
