It is officially back to school time for my family. Wyatt starts school next week and that means that I must also be ready. The biggest purchases we make, other than school supplies, are school uniforms and shoes. The shoes are a biggie for me, because I want him to be comfortable and I want the shoes to last! For the last two years, I have purchased him a pair of New Balance shoes in August and they have lasted through the entire school year, so this year there was no question when it came to his shoes.
Here is some information about New Balance from their site: New Balance began as a Boston-based arch support company in the early 1900’s, developed into a specialized shoe manufacturer in the 1970’s, and has grown to become a leading global athletic products company. Today New Balance is a family of brands including New Balance, Dunham, PF Flyers, Aravon, Warrior and Brine. Since the days of selling arch supports to police officers and waiters, New Balance has been a brand concerned with meeting the needs of the everyday athlete. Part of producing superior footwear and athletic apparel is manufacturing it to fit all widths and sizes, because a better fit produces better performance. To ensure the best fitting, best performing shoes and apparel, we focus on improving our technology and production methods. We have maintained five manufacturing facilities in New England where we continue to rely on the skills and teamwork of our American workforce to produce a percentage of our athletic footwear. We have also remained strongly committed to a core set of company values that include integrity, teamwork and total customer satisfaction.
New Balance was nice enough to send Wyatt a pair of shoes for us to review. We chose the 688 style, because they were described as “providing all-day comfort for active kids on the run” and this is exactly what he needs. Plus, they are available in many color options, including either solid white or black. I love the quality of New Balance and the fact that they have added the ABZORB cushioning to this shoe. These shoes are perfect for him and I can order the shoes online from New Balance, without fighting the crowds.
The New Balance 688 comes in a variety of styles and color options for both boys and girls, including wide widths. This shoe retails for $44,99 and is worth every penny! To purchase your child a pair of New Balance 688, just visit ShopNewBalance.com.
