I was lucky enough to be able to attend BlogHer again this year and I must say that I loved San Diego!! The weather was fantastic and I loved our view of the bay. My partners in crime for this adventure were Bridgette and Cissy, which are the best girls ever! This year was just as busy as the past years, but I will try to fill you all in on what I accomplished.
Thursday morning I arrived in San Diego and started the day by attending the P&G event, which was sponsored by Tide, Downy, Braun, and more. I learned that I had been using the Tide Stain Release tablets all wrong, since they are suppose to go in on top of my clothes. Who knew? I was learned about the Downy Unstoppables, which keeps your laundry smelling fresh for up to six months! I then got to see the new Braun Satin Ion Hair Brush in action, which was pretty impressive.
Thursday evening I had dinner with a group of bloggers sponsored by Lovable Labels, which make really cute, awesome, and durable labels. These labels are great for anything, especially school and camp items. After dinner, it was off to the Clever Girls Collective “I’m With the Brand” Party, where I played UbiSofts “The Smurfs Dance Party” . I learned that Papa Smurf dances better than me, which is just SAD.
Friday morning started off with breakfast hosted by Audrey McClelland and Colleen Padilla. This breakfast was sposored by “Got Milk” in support of the release of The Digital Mom Handbook. For anyone looking to know how to get started in the digital world, you must read this book. Then it was off to try some Daisy Cottage Cheese, which was actually good. I am not usually a fan of cottage cheese, but this one was good when mixed with berries.
Most of Friday was spent at the conference, where I attended a couple of sessions and strolled the expo hall. I did get to cook Asparagus Risotto at the Knorr booth, with their new homestyle stock, which was cool. I was treated to cotton candy, my fav, by Chuck E Cheese, who has just revamped their pizza. I had a blast at the Hasbro booth, thanks to a new Cookie Monster toy that eats and counts his cookies. I even picked out what I want for Christmas at the Sam’s booth. I give you a hint it is blue, sparkly, and pictured below.
I then attended a review blog session hosted by the awesome bloggers Amy (Mom Spark), Stacie, (The Divine Miss Mommy), and Niri (Mommy Niri). They had some great advice, which included follow through on your commitments.
I attended the McDonald’s lunch on Friday, where we were treated to some of the lower calorie options on McDonald’s menu. We also learned about how they are working to make the happy meal better for kids, which includes smaller fry portions and apples in every meal. I was sad to learn that caramel will no longer be offered with the apples, but I may have found a substitue with their fruit and yogurt parfait. Also, if you have not tried their smoothies, they are really yummy!
Friday night was filled with excitement as we started off at the Cheap Sally Dance Party hosted by Collective Bias. If you are a Gordon Ramsey fan, then keep your eyes open at K-Mart for his new kitchen line! Then we headed to the Kick Off Your Heels Party hosted by Stiletto Media and sponsored by Dodge.
Saturday morning started early as we headed out for a brunch hosted by Disney Baby. Their new line of onsies are adorable and have two rows of snaps, so that you get more use out of each piece. I love that they have boy options that include Monsters Inc and Cars. For this event, Disney Baby partnered with Operation Shower to help expecting moms, by donating onsies to expecting moms. I even got to meet Winnie the Pooh!
Saturday night was a relaxing dinner with some of my favorite blogging friends hosted by Tide. I loved seeing all these ladies again and it was a great way to end a fabulous trip.
Can’t wait to see everyone in NYC next year!!!

It was a whirlwind trip, wasn’t it? I felt like I had to move, move, move to get it all in though, and I really just wanted to sit and relax….like hang out with you longer in the Smores suite and just CHILL. I really, really wanted to spend more time with you (and the other 2 lovelies you stroll with)! You are such a sweet, sweet person and I adore you!
