Everyone knows that it is a HUGE NO, NO to put a blanket in the crib with any child under the age of one. But, how do you keep your little ones warm during those cold winter months?

The HALO SleepSack, is the perfect answer to that question. Developed by a mom, who lost her baby to SIDS, the SleepSack is a wearable blanket that replaces the need for blankets. Here is some great information about the company from their site: The American Academy of Pediatrics, leading SIDS organizations and health professionals suggest the use of wearable blankets to provide a safe sleep environment for infants. A percentage of our sales go to First Candle/SIDS Alliance and the Canadian Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths to support SIDS research and education.

I bought a HALO SleepSack for Blake, when he was younger, and it was one of my most used purchases. Not only did it keep him warm, but he wasn’t able to undress himself at night anymore.LOL I love that they also sell Swaddle SleepSacks for infants!

SleepSacks come in a wide variety of fabrics and patterns. They can be purchased online at HALO or Babies R’ Us. The HALO SleepSack makes an awesome baby gift and they even sell some great gift sets.
