Musselman’s Applesauce Helps Your Resolutions Stick: #Giveaway

Down here in New Orleans, it is always a good time to eat, drink and be merry.  After New Years, we head straight into Mardi Gras, then Easter, Festival Season, Summer….you get the drift.  Needless to say that resolutions are not the easiest thing to keep, especially as a busy mom of two.  One of the ways that I have found to stay on track is Musselman’s Applesauce.  Did you know that by replacing your granola bar with applesauce, just twice a year, can save you around 1000 calories a month!

musselmans logoMusselman’s wants your resolutions for a healthier lifestyle to stick, and they make it easy with such a tasty replacement.  They were nice enough to send my family a few varieties of their applesauce to try.  My favorite is always the cinnamon, but when watching calories, the Natural variety is the way to go.  With only 50 calories, three listed ingredients, and no added sugar this applesauce is the next best thing to eating an apple.  There 4oz cups are the perfect size for lunch boxes and a frequent request from my boys.  Now if I could only find some extra time to add more exercise to my day!  I vow to switch out the sugar laden fruit snacks that all the boys in my house love for applesauce!  (and yes that is 32g of sugar in one bag of fruit snacks!)

What snack can you replace with applesauce?  Not only are you saving calories, but how many other preservatives are you keeping out of your body.  So, give it a try and make the switch for just one week.  Let me know if you missed your old snacks or if you really enjoyed your new healthier replacement.  And, remember, Musselman’s uses only American grown apples!

Musselman's Bowling

For some additional family fun, be sure to look for specially marked packs of Musselman’s, where you can get a free game of bowling!  To learn more about Musselman’s, be sure to follow them on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and checkout their website for great recipes!
