Anna Boiardi Non-Stick Cookware Provides Function and Style

Anna Boiardi provided product to facilitate this review.  All opinions stated are my own.

The kitchen seems to be where I spend most of my time, between meal prep and actual meals, and then the clean up.  While I really enjoy cooking for my family, I believe that you need really good kitchen tools to work with.  Most times I use my Magnalite pots and pans that I have had since college, but some days a non-stick surface would really serve me better.  We did have a old set of non-stick cookware that we were using, but it definitely had seen better days, and left much to be desired.  Maybe this was why I was so excited when I was given the opportunity to try out a set of Anna Boiardi Cookware, or maybe it was the awesome teal color it came in, but either way I have been one happy momma!

Anna Boiardi CookwareFirst of all, I was thrilled to have tops to all the cookware, and to finally own a dutch oven!  I love that these pieces can go directly from the stove to the oven, which takes the phrase “one pot meal” to a whole new level for me.  The handy utensil holder on the top is nice, but honestly not a feature that I have used, since I tend to use my spoon rest.  And, once again, I love the color, which makes me smile every time I pull out a pot or pan to use.

I have been putting this cookware to the test for the last few weeks, and I have to admit I have been very pleased.  From a one pot spaghetti bake, steak quesadillas, chili, refried beans and more, this cookware is definitely held its own.  And, clean up has been a total breeze since this line of cookware is non-stick and lives up to that description.  Anna recommends cooking at a medium fire, because the cookware heats evenly throughout, which was hard for me at first, but I find that it works well that way.

The Anna Boiardi 12-Piece Cast Aluminum Cookware Set includes: a 1.75 qt. saucepan with lid, a 2.25 qt. casserole dish with lid, a 4.25 qt. Dutch oven with lid, a 2.5 qt. buffet server with lid, a 9.5″ fry pan with lid, and a serving spoon and slotted spatula.  This cookware has shatter-resistant glass lids allow you to monitor cooking and a nonstick interior. Made with a heavy gauge construction, this cookware is both durable and scratch resistant.  And, it is PTFE free and cadmium free.

Anna Boiardi cookware is available online at Bed, Bath and Beyond.com . The set that I received is available in Verona (teal) or Tuscan (Tan) and retails for $194.99.  For more information or to stay social, be sure to follow Anna on Twitter and Facebook.

What’s not to love about this set? I even love the color, and I think I might just use that spoon rest feature.

I bought my mom a dutch oven a couple years ago for Christmas, but it was not nearly as pretty as this set of cookware. I LOVE the teal color!

This seems like a really good cookware set. I like the official black though and have a great set we bought at Caphalon. If I’m ever in the need for color these would be my next choice but they would also make a great wedding gift.
