Here in New Orleans, we know how to throw a party, and Halloween is no exception. Every year families put on their costumes and head out to the Audobon Zoo for their annual Boo at the Zoo festivies. The locals here know that this event is a must do for families, but this year will be even more “Spooktacular” thanks to Carnival Cruise Lines! You heard me right, the party experts over at Carnival Cruise Lines are adding their own brand of fun into the mix!
Carnival Cruise Lines is the number one cruise line out of New Orleans and offers the ideal family vacation. They have activities that are sure to keep kids of all ages happy, inclulding Camp Carnival- for kids ages 2 to 11, Circle “C”- catering to the 12- to 14-year-old set, and Club O2-geared toward 15- to 17-year-olds – with supervised activities and dedicated staff for each group. And, the Conquest, which is one of the ships docked in New Orleans, is about to be upgraded to Fun Ship 2.0 status! Here are a few of the upgrades you can expect to see on Fun Ship 2.0:
- Punchliner Comedy Clubs Presented by George Lopez, with the popular comedian
serving as the line’s curator of comedy. - EA SPORTS Bar, where guests can play their favorite games and watch live sports on a
huge video monitor wall - Hasbro, The Game Show incorporating life-size versions of Hasbro games like Sorry,
Simon Says, Operation and Monopoly. - BlueIguana Cantina, serving made-to-order burritos and tacos on homemade tortillas.
- The Taste Bar, a new casual dining option featuring complimentary bite-size offerings
inspired by “Fun Ship 2.0” dining venues, along with a signature cocktail tied to that
eatery’s particular theme available for purchase. - Cherry On Top, which celebrates the joys of simple indulgences with bins of bulk candy,
fun fanciful gifts and novelties, custom apparel and more.
See, I told they knew how to have fun! Here is what flair you can expect at this year’s Boo at the Zoo, thanks to Carnival Cruise Lines: A jack-o-lantern-filled Fun Ship replica nearly 70 feet long, pumpkin carving creations, children’s decoration stations and tropical-themed treats!

Better coffee. I’ve been on 3 Carnival cruises and the coffee is lousy. They should buy their coffee in NOLA!
