So, when Renee asked if I wanted to review this product my first thought was “no”…I’m not very good at this review thing and I’m soooo slow. But, then I looked at the product and I just knew my daughter would love it, and she did! I have to say that crafting is not my thing, my daughter however spends all her free time making things for her friends. No matter what it is she just loves creating things, drawing, beads, cutting and pasting, lettering, you name it she loves it. Usually when we get a kit it involves me helping her, this always turns out badly! I have no patience and neither does she, at 9 she thinks that she can do anything, preferably without my input. It always ends up with me trying to show her how to do something that is too difficult for her and her getting frustrated because she wants to do it herself…honestly it usually ends up unfinished in a bag in her closet!
I have to admit right up front that the Crafty Bands had a completely different outcome! This was so easy that I barely had to help at all, I showed my daughter how to use the cutting tool one time and she took off. We started with a local newspaper and found small pictures, since it’s Mardi Gras here we had no problem finding lots of things that she liked. In the time it took my husband to get dinner on the table she had a completed bracelet and was starting another…and I only helped with the first charm! I’m sure she can easily find lots of photos and images on the computer that she can make into charms. Trust me when I tell you we will be buying refill kits for Crafty Bands and all of her friends will be wearing them by this time next week!
