Diary of a Wimpy Kid Sets Out for the Dog Days of Summer in His New Film: #Giveaway CLOSED

Wyatt was a fan of the first Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie, but this summer he learned a whole new appreciation for the series, when he read the first four books.  Ever since he started reading book one, he couldn’t stop, until he finished all the books we had.  Now, he has watched the first two movies again, and can’t wait for the release of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, which will hit theaters August 3rd!

Here is the synopsis of this upcoming release:  During his summer vacation, “Wimpy Kid” Greg Heffley, the hero of the phenomenally successful book series, hatches a plan to pretend he has a job at a ritzy country club – which fails to keep him away from the season’s dog days, including embarrassing mishaps at a public pool and a camping trip that goes horribly wrong.

If you have a young boy and are looking to get him excited about reading, this is a great series. My son, who is seven, and my nephew, who is 12, are both huge fans!

    My son loves all the books and really doesn’t have a favorite…. you see, these books will always be my all time favorite children’s books! They are the ones that got my son from having to read at the end of the day to wanting to read!
