My husband is a gamer and my older son has followed in his footsteps. We have multiple gaming devices in our house, and they seem to use them all. Both were fans of the first Epic Mickey game, so when they heard a sequel was coming, they were super excited. It also doesn’t hurt that we a Disney Family as well, so this game is double cool for my guys. Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is now available for you to play with your family!
Here is the synopsis of this game: Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is an Action-Adventure Platforming game set in the Disney themed gameworld of Wasteland. The game utilizes the same open-ended, environment-manipulating play mechanics of the original Disney Epic Mickey to create a unique experience that lets players create their own paths through game levels. The game features both Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, each with their own tools of environment manipulation. Additional features include, forgotten Disney characters and attractions, all-new levels, professional voice acting, Disney-inspired music and lyrics, and drop-in, drop-out two-player co-op support.
My family was sent a copy of Disney’s Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two for the PS3 for review. My husband was stalking the mail waiting for it to arrive and started playing the night it arrived. He likes that Oswald actually talks, for the first time ever, and thinks the graphics look better on the PS2. He also commented that it doesn’t have the camera problems that the first one did. This game also goes into a split screen if you have two players, which allows the players to go off in different directions. I joined him the other night, but I was not a fan of the split screen, probably because I need to stay close to the other player to understand what is going on. I was told tonight that my 8 year old is better than me!LOL He seemed to maneuver the split screen with ease. Overall, both boys are happy with the game and enjoy playing together and alone. I would say that it is a hit in our household!
Here is a short video showing the boys enjoying game time and the split screen:
Disney’s Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is available now for the following gaming systems: Wii, Sony PS3, PC, XBox 360, and Nintendo 3DS.
