Ever since hubby and I have gotten our iPads, it seems that the kids want to be on them as much as we do, so we always try to have a variety of age appropriate apps for them. With my kids, I am always happier to let them play a game if it has educational value, but sometimes they just want to play. This is why I was happy to learn about Fingerprint Play and their FIVE debut games, which are both fun and educational apps!
Here is a list of the five available apps and their synopsis:
Big Kid Life Fire Fighter – Kids ages 4-7 can use their special backpack hose to drench Fire Monsters, use ladders to climb past obstacles, and save kitties and puppies – all while practicing skills with numbers, shapes and symbols.
Big Kid Life Vet – Kids ages 3-6 learn logic with letters, numbers, colors and shapes as they try to find out what’s ailing their pet in a series of fun touch and seek levels.
Big Kid Life Fairy Princess– Kids ages 4-7 develop reading comprehension skills as they play through 15 magical adventures, creating their very own Fairy Princess story.
Fingerprint Play Maker– Kids ages 4-8 learn progressive math and spelling skills with the help of their own unique Fingerprint character. Kids can design a costume, choose fun animations and even record a voice for their character.
DoReMi 1-2-3 – Kids ages 4-8 interact with moo-sical cows, boat-rowing pandas, and twinkling stars while learning to distinguish the individual building blocks of musical pitch and melody and boosting brain development. This is Fingerprint’s first third-party app developed by Creativity Mobile and Funosophy, and the first in a series of groundbreaking music education games.
Fingerprint Play was nice enough to let my boys try out the Big Kid Life Vet and Fingerprint Play Maker apps. My husband installed the apps and played them first to see how they worked. He decided to tell me he was really good at being a vet.LOL On all the games, you start by choosing your avatar, which the kids thought was cool. Blake loved both the apps and spent about 20 minutes on each and has gone back and played them again. I like how there are easy and hard levels on the games to suit the upper and lower age limits. The animals in the vet app are super cute and even include exotics, such as a platypus. Blake had a great time making his own character for the Fingerprint Play Maker app and liked choosing which setting he wanted to play, and his favorite was the pirate ship.
These apps retail for $2.99 each and are available for purchase from the Apple App Store. To hear about all the new apps being released from Fingerprint Play, be sure to fan them on Facebook.
