I don’t think that I need to tell you all that summer in New Orleans is HOT! With most days reaching above 90 degrees, we have many ways of keeping cool. From water sports to snowballs, we spend most of our time trying to keep our body temperatures down. My favorite way is ice cream! I have always loved ice cream and have even made the homemade variety a few times, but the best ice cream I have ever had was Graeter’s in Cinncinnati! Recently, I found out that my local Winn-Dixie will be selling Graeter’s and to say I was excited was an understatement!

Graeter’s was nice enough to send me four of their most popular flavors of Chip Flavors to try! We received Black Raspberry Chip, Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, and Mint Chocolate Chip. I will be honest and say that I did not share with my kids, but in my defense, I did admit to an ice cream addiction, right? Here is what I thought about each flavor:
Black Raspberry Chip– This one totally surprised me! I was not expecting to be a fan, since I don’t usually like raspberry flavored desserts, but it was super good! The raspberry flavor was not too strong and contrasted well with the chocolate chips. It actually ended up being my favorite!
Chocolate Chip– A great classic! Their vanilla has a great flavor and I really liked the chip to ice cream ratio.
Chocolate Chocolate Chip– I really enjoyed this flavor, but it is a rich mixture. The chocolate ice cream is smooth and yummy and then you get a bite of rich chocolate chip. If you are looking to indulge, this is the flavor for you!
Mint Chocolate Chip– My husband ate the whole pint, before I even had a taste of this flavor! He said it was really good and not to be confused that the ice cream is white and not green.
Overall, we were really impressed with the quality and flavor of these Graeter’s products and I am thrilled that they will soon be available at my local Winn-Dixie. Now, please help me find a way to burn an extra 600 calories a day to continue being able to enjoy this goodness on a daily basis!

Since I’m from Columbus, I’ve had Graeter’s for as long as I can remember. It is the BEST! So delicious. My favorite is Black Raspberry Chip for sure.
Yum I was at a Graeter’s store here in Columbus yesterday and have a pint of delicious strawberry sorbet in my freezer right now!
All you have to say is ice cream and I’m on it LOL! I have never heard of Graeter’s, but will have to see if it’s available in Atlanta.
I’ve had Graeter’s and can attest it IS that good! I’m super jealous…the best ice cream in the most awesome city ever. So not fair.
