Holiday Gift Ideas: Gotta Catch Santa Claus Review

Lately, I have noticed that there is a bunch of new holiday dvds to choose from this year.  Gotta Catch Santa Claus is one these new releases.  This show is an all-new CGI-Animated Movie that features William Shatner as the voice of Santa Claus!

Here is the synopsis of Gotta Catch Santa Claus: Funky music, holiday magic and a supersonic sleigh are all wrapped up in this CGI–animated family adventure starring William Shatner as the voice of Santa!  Trevor is a true believer in the holiday spirit, so his skeptical best friend, Veronica, challenges him to show the world actual proof that Santa is real. Trevor and his friends embark on the adventure of a lifetime to catch Santa in action and reveal the true magic of Christmas. But they’ve got to find Santa before LeFreeze — a dim-witted monster who is carrying a serious 100-year-old grudge — and his snowman minions put Christmas on ice forever!  Join the race to save Christmas in Gotta Catch Santa Claus, the jolly, jammin’, modern-day holiday classic destined to become a family tradition!

Wyatt really enjoyed the movie, especially the snowman minions.  I felt that Mrs. Claus was a little too modern and the laser idea far fetched, but Wyatt didn’t seem to care.   This story did emphasize the importance of believing in Christmas and had a strong story line. The movie has a run time of 66 minutes, which was just long enough to keep his attention.  He has asked to watch the dvd again and he had fun dancing to the music and viewing the extras.

You can purchase Gotta Catch Santa Claus from Amazon for $19.98.  The special features offered on this dvd include: Deleted Scenes, Santa Behind-the-Scenes Footage, and 2 Sing-Along Songs.  If you want to see a preview of this dvd, click here.
