I am totally one of those nerdy people who love to play board games. We have game night at the house and just have a blast. This is why I was thrilled to try one of Europe’s most popular games, Jungle Speed, which is set to be released in the states this month!
Here is some information about Jungle Speed from their site: Jungle Speed is the lightning-fast game of quick thinking and quicker reflexes. Your keen eye and swift hand will win the day, if you can stop laughing long enough to catch your breath. Jungle Speed seems simple enough, and everyone can be playing minutes after you deal out the cards. But once you start playing, the chaotic action will take all your concentration. Fifteen minutes later, the game will be over and you can all pause for air – but that just leaves you time to play again!
Asmodee was nice enough to send my family a Jungle Speed game of our very own to try. Hubby and I decided to try it out before playing with Wyatt. The instructions are easy to understand and we were playing within minutes of opening the box. It is very tricky and you have to be careful not to grab for the totum unless you are sure. We had alot of fun playing this game and can’t wait to play with Wyatt. He will probably be better at it than us. Be forewarned, you can leave this game with injury if you are playing with fierce competitors, as I was bleeding after one scramble for the totum.LOL
This game is really great for cognitive skills and would be great with a large group of people! Recent research shows that board games, such as Jungle Speed, are positively impacting on children’s cognitive development skills and brain motor function. The game play also helps kids develop valuable skills in patience, cooperation, concentration, teamwork and perseverance.
Jungle Speed is recommended for kids ages 8 and up. This game can accomodate 2 to 10 players. The more players you have the more crazy it gets. This game retails for $19.99 and can be purchased online now from amazon.com.
Would you like to test you and your kids cognitive skills? Well guess what, one lucky reader will win a Jungle Speed game! For your chance to win, just follow the rules below.
