I was so happy to be announced as a party host for one of this year’s hottest new holiday toys, Xia-Xia! These little hermet crabs will dance their way into your family with their bright colors and expressive faces and shells. With four different crabs Bimini, Turks, Trinidad and Tobago and 12 trading shells the possibilites for these little friends are endless. They also have three playsets available for the Xia-Xia to run around.

I thought these little creatures were super cute and the kids loved them. I would not recommend them for kids under the age of 4, even though they say three and up. The kids did not try to eat the small parts, but both Blake and Aubrie pulled off the legs and thought it was funny. Blake decided his was a worm. Wyatt and Lily, on the other hand, were fascinated by the special surprises located in the shells of the Xia-Xia.
Xia-Xia are available for purchase now at Toys R Us and Walmart. These toys vary in price from $5.99 for shells, $12.99 for crabs, up to $21.99 for playsets. At these prices, Xia-Xias are sure to fly off the shelves, so be sure to get yours early!
