Bath time serves a dual purpose for my youngest Blake.  First and foremost, it does what all baths do, cleans.  Secondly, it is a sensory input for him.  Blake is a sensory seeker, which means that we are always looking for ways to add extra sensory into his day.  Bath time is one of the easiest ways to do this, usually by allowing him to play with shaving cream and bubbles.  I don’t usually allow a bunch of toys in the tub, since it is a distraction, but there are always exceptions, and the new Mega Bloks® First Builders™ Build ‘n Splash toy is one of them!

First of all, you all know that I am a sucker for any toy that comes with a basket to store the pieces in, and that gives this toy an immediate thumbs up from me!  I also really like when my kids can be creative, which this toy totally allows.  You can change the order of the blocks, which is a lot more fun, and they get to build in the tub.  The last thing that I like about this toy is that it is easy to clean, by soaking it in bleach water.  I really dislike tub toys that hold water in them.  Blake is at the high end of the age recommendation for this toy, but he really enjoyed it and continues to ask for it in the tub.
