Maxi-Cosi provided product to facilitate this review. All opinions stated are my own.
Over the last nine years, I have purchased quite a few car and booster seats, and I can tell you what I loved and hated about each one of them. Recently, we were in the market for a new booster seat for Blake. While he is only 5, he is big for his age, and I needed something that we could both agree on, since I have no intention of fighting him to get in the seat everyday! Maxi-Cosi came to our rescue with their newest booster seat addition, the RodiFix.
Here is some information about Maxi-Cosi and the RodiFix: Maxi-Cosi is one of the leading car seat brands in Europe and is known for their innovative technology and superior comfort. For many years, they have been innovating, designing and producing the safest, most practical and comfortable products available. Many of their products have received awards from independent consumer organizations and industry specialist alike. The all new RodiFix Booster features Air Protect Side Impact Technology that protects around the child’s head where it’s needed most. The RodiFix also features IsoFix Rigid LATCH, which makes installation and moving the seat between multiple vehicles a breeze.
Maxi-Cosi was nice enough to send Blake a Rodi-Fix booster seat to review. Here are my top four favorite features of this seat:
- Air protect side impact protection protects your child’s head where it’s needed most in a side impact crash.
- Synchronized multi-height headrest and expanding side wings grow with child.
- IsoFIX: Built-in retractable rigid LATCH connectors for easy installation.
- Locking shoulder belt guides.
There are other features that I really like, including the fact that the seat reclines to match your vehicle’s seat back angle. The seat fabric is removable for easy cleaning. And, the hourglass shape makes routing and buckling the seat belt easier for kids. Blake is really comfortable in his new seat and feels like a big boy. He actually sits higher in this seat and can see better out the window. This seat installed easily and fits well in my Chevy Traverse, but does seem to be on the taller side. My only complaint about the seat is that it does not have a cup holder, which is minor.
The Maxi-Cosi RodiFix Booster is available in four color options and is suitable for kids 30-120 lbs. and up to 57″. This seat retails for $249.99 and can be purchased online at buybuybaby.com. For more information about Maxi-Cosi, be sure to follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

I love that boosters now come with latch so they are not moving all over the place!
