As most of you have heard, Pampers is celebrating their 50th birthday this year! They decided to honor these 50 years of parenting by unveiling the Little Miracle Missions program, which seeks to celebrate, support and protect every baby through acts of kindness to little miracles (babies) and their families, while encouraging parents to “pay it forward” and support others.
As part of the Miracle Mission Campaign, Pampers asked me if I would like to bring a miracle into my community, and I immediately answered “YES”! I had never done anything like this before, so I began to do a little research. I decided wanted to brighten the lives of kids that are in the hospital. This is when I called our local Children’s Hospital to see how I could make this happen.
I found out that everyday in the hospital, volunteers bring carts, which are filled with books, crafts, games and more, up and down the halls. Every kid in the hospital, whether they are there for a day or a month, get the opportunity to do something different. The volunteers will go back and read or play with the kids if time allows. I knew that I wanted to fill these carts with all kinds of fun for the kids.
Now that I knew what my mission would be, it was time to put myself into action! And, after a full evening of shopping, I was able to deliver this and more to the hospital:
Then came delivery day! I was so excited to bring all that I was able to buy to the volunteers and they were just as excited to see what I had. I got to meet one of the volunteers, a high school student named Andrew, and he was nice enough to let me tag along for his shift. I got to see what a difference a few coloring sheets and some colors really make to a kid, especially when they have been in bed for a few days. The second thing I noticed was that the items were not just for the kids in the hospital, but also their families. Siblings and parents need the distraction as much as the patients and a DS game can really do the trick.
I can not put into words how blessed I felt as I walked out of the hospital that day and my faith in those around us got a little boost. For all those volunteers that spend their days making others feel special and to Pampers for giving me the opportunity to be a part of something so very special, I want to say “Thank You from the bottom of my heart!”.
When I was asked to join Pampers Baby Board, I could never have guessed how much it would change me as a person. I have always used and recommended their products, but meeting the brand itself and seeing their passion for what they do has made me inspired to be a better person.
If you would like to be a part of the little miracle mission, be sure to head over to Facebook and like the Pampers Miracle Mission Page. They will be making miracles happen all this year and would love for you to be involved.

Companies who give back have a soft spot in my heart. They don’t have to, they do it because it is the right thing to do.
I am so happy that Pampers helped make someone’s day a bit less stressful by allowing you to donate and visit the Children’s Hospital It looks like you had a wonderful time and learned alot!
