It is no secret that I have a fondness for sweets and down here in New Orleans, it can cause your waistline to have expansion issues. To battle the bulge, I follow the Weight Watchers plan, and try to limit my sweet treats. Thanks to Nonni’s Biscotti, I have found a way to have my sweets and eat them, too!
Here is some information about Nonnni’s from their site: Nonni’s Biscotti grew out of true Italian tradition. In the little town of Lucca, Italy along narrow cobbled lanes surrounded by elegant piazzas, our Nonni made biscotti to share with family and friends. When Nonni came to America, almost a century ago, she brought the family recipe with her. To this day, the same family recipe using real eggs, butter and gourmet bittersweet chocolate is still used to give our biscotti a light, crunchy texture that is delicately sweet. Our devotion to quality ingredients has been the foundation for the continued success of the company, and the key reason Nonni’s Biscotti is the number one selling biscotti in the country.
Nonni’s was nice enough to send me over some samples of their newest flavor to review, Salted Caramel. The words Salted Caramel were enough to entice me, but then add that it is dipped in chocolate and I just entered into my happy place! The caramel is in chunks in a crispy cookie and then the chocolate adds sweetness and the salt just pops. Yes, I am totally addicted to these cookies. It is only 3 WW Points Plus, so I eat one treat each night to keep my sweet tooth satisfied.
Nonni’s Salted Caramel Biscotti is a light 100 calorie treat that is the perfect combination to satisfy any salty or sweet craving! This scrumptious sensation is filled with caramel and dipped in rich milk chocolate then sprinkled with sea salt. Each box comes with eight biscotti, individually wrapped for freshness. Nonni’s can be purchased at your local grocers and mass retailers. Also, be on the lookout for Biscotti Bites, which are the perfect size for being popped in your mouth!
