We have stayed so busy here at Portofino Island since my last post, but here is all that we have done.
Yesterday evening, we took a boat ride to the boardwalk. This is a 30 minute boat ride and is a great way to relax. They play music on the boat and even let the kids take a turn driving the boat. Here is a picture of Wyatt and I on the boat.
This morning my family went on the Dolphin Cruise, with Bridgette, The Experimental Mommy, and her family. This was a 2 hour boat ride which takes you out to see the dolphins. The kids had a blast and we saw plenty of dolphins jumping in the water. To see some great shots of the dolphins and cruise guests, check out Portofino’s Blog. After the cruise, we ate lunch and all the kids went down for a nap, which was the perfect chance for Bridgette and I to take advantage of the spa. Located at the resort, the Portofino Spa offers a great selection of services, including indoor or outdoor massages, facials, and nail services. I chose to get a manicure and pedicure for my pampering. The spa was very nice and all the employees were friendly. The lady who did my nails was great! My feet felt wonderful and I was totally relaxed when we headed back to meet up with our families.
After dinner, we were treated to a dive-in movie. This is when they show a movie at their indoor pool for all the kids to enjoy.
We watched “Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs” and Wyatt said he would always remember this night. It was a really cool experience and one that made an impression on him.
We have another full day ahead of us tomorrow, so I am off to bed to get some rest.
