Those who know me, know that I am not much of a drinker, but I do enjoy a glass of wine every now and then. Usually one glass will go straight to my head and I am done. Recently, I was sent some of the new Refreshers by Turning Leaf to try, and I was really pleased with the overall taste and freshness.
The Refresh by Turning Leaf line of wines are different in that they are crafted specifically to offer a refreshing wine experience. They have a light, fizzy body and are available in four flavors: Crisp White, Moscato, Red Moscato, and Pink Moscato. These wines retail for around $8 a bottle. I usually prefer a blush, when I drink wine, but since I was sent the Crisp White and Red Moscato to try, I went for the Red. I was too eager to wait for it to chill, so I dropped in a few ice cube and poured myself a drink. The first thing I noticed were the bubbles, which made me think of a wine spritzer. The Red Moscato was the perfect blend of fruit, which was not too sweet or too tart. I loved that I could have more than one glass, without feeling tipsy. I also must admit, that over the course of a week, I drank the whole bottle and found myself wanting more. I can’t wait to pick up some of the Pink Moscato at the store to try!
