Since the temperature has been climbing upward down here in the south, I am constantly on the lookout for frozen treats.  If these treats come with the benefit of tasting good, without breaking my calorie count for the day, then I am one happy mama!!  If you feel the same way about your cool treats, then you must check out Breyers Smooth & Dreamy bars and sandwiches selection!

Here is some information about Breyers Smooth & Dreamy from their site:  This summer, the Breyers brand is expanding its Smooth & Dreamy ice cream line with the introduction of new frozen novelties. The new Breyers Smooth & Dreamy frozen novelties line consists of six deliciously indulgent desserts: three bars and three sandwiches. These treats have 120 to 160 calories and 4 to 6 fat grams per serving, are all made with rich, extra creamy light ice cream and contain no artificial colors or flavors.

Here is a list of the new products available:

Triple Chocolate Chip bars include chocolate light ice cream with dark chocolate chips and a fudge swirl, half-dipped in a milk chocolatey coating.

Chocolate Covered Strawberry bars are made with strawberry light ice cream with a strawberry swirl, half-dipped in a milk chocolatey coating.

Vanilla Caramel Chip bars contain vanilla light ice cream with caramel chips and a caramel swirl, half-dipped in a milk chocolatey coating.

Vanilla Fudge Brownie sandwiches feature vanilla light ice cream with fudge brownie pieces sandwiched between brownie cookies.

Chocolate Caramel Brownie sandwiches feature chocolate light ice cream with fudge brownie pieces and a caramel swirl sandwiched between brownie cookies.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough sandwiches feature cookie dough flavored light ice cream with chocolate chip cookie dough pieces sandwiched between chocolate chip cookies.

Breyers was nice enough to send me over a coupon to try my choice of their new treats.  I chose to try the Triple Chocolate Chip bars, with some help from Wyatt.  I am always up for ice cream, so I was pretty excited about having an excuse to treat myself.  I opened up the package and my first thought was that the bar was a little small, but then I tasted it and that thought flew out the window.  This bar was decadent, and full of yummy chocolate taste!  I was completely full after this treat and didn’t even feel tempted to get a second bar.   It didn’t take my hubby long to find these in our freezer, since I went out of town for 1 night and half the box is gone!LOL  I guess he likes them, too.

These new Smooth & Dreamy treats will definitely be added to my frozen treat rotation, since they are reasonable in calories and fat, while holding on to a delicious taste!  I can’t wait to try the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough sandwiches next.
