Review and Giveaway: Chop Socky Chooks Volume 1 CLOSED

When watching cartoons with the boys, it is always fun to find one that we enjoy as much as them.  I am not sure if my husband or son laughs more at Chop Socky Chooks, which airs on Cartoon Network.  I mean, who would not get a kick out of crime fighting chickens?LOL

Chop Socky Chooks takes place in Wasabi World and focuses on the adventures of the crime fighting chickens, who battle evil.  Chick P, KO Joe and Chuckie Chan are the crime fighters, who are up to their beaks in bad guys as they patrol the gigantic shopping mall run by uber-evil Dr. Wasabi!  They must battle virtual villains, karaoke crazies, rogue robots, prehistoric predators and even fast-food fiends, all while using their super-spy gadgets, martial-arts skills and incredible ingenuity to keep Wasabi World safe! But with a little luck and lot of team work, these fine-feathered friends will not only save the day – they’ll even teach the crooks that crime doesn’t pay.

Twentieth Century Fox was nice enough to send my family a copy of Chop Socky Chooks Volume 1 to review.  I think my husband was more excited than my son to get this in the mail.  We watched 3 episodes the first night it arrived.LOL  My favorite character is Chick P, since she can make even her lipstick a weapon.  My husband’s favorite is Dr. Wasabi and my son loves the ninja chimps.

As you can see, this series is full of wacky adventures and martial arts.  Even though the show has lots of fight scenes, I did not find it overly violent.  I think it is more suited to teens and adults, but am okay with Wyatt watching. 

Chop Socky Chooks Volume 1 was released last month, just in time for the holiday wish lists.  This 2-disc release features 13 episodes from season 1 and has a running time of 286 minutes.  You can purchase this DVD from Amazon.com for only $19.98.
