Review and Giveaway: Flicka 2 DVD CLOSED

We have been trying to make to switch from cartoons to live-action movies with Wyatt, and he is finally showing some interest in them. He likes picking out a new movie to watch every Friday night, so I must keep refreshing our stock. Thanks to 20th Century Fox, we have a new option in Flicka 2.

Here is the synopsis of Flicka 2:  The wild mustangs of Wyoming return when Flicka 2 makes its exclusive premiere on DVD and DVD Combo Pack May 4th from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.  The uplifting film, directed by Michael Damian (Moondance Alexander), a continuation of the popular 2006 Flickathat starred Tim McGraw, features Patrick Warburton (“Family Guy,” “Seinfeld”), newcomer Tammin Sursok (“The Young And The Restless”) and country legend Clint Black in a thrilling story of the special bond between one girl and the mustang no one could tame.  Carrie (Sursok) is a big-city teenager whose life is turned upside down when she moves to a horse ranch in Wyoming to live with her father (Warburton).  But everything changes when Carrie meets Flicka, a wild, jet-black mustang who’s just as free-spirited and strong-willed as Carrie.  The two form a special bond and Carrie opens her heart to her father and a handsome, local boy, but when a jealous rival puts Flicka’s life in jeopardy, Carrie must do whatever it takes to save her best friend.

Twentieth Century Fox was nice enough to send my family a copy of Flick 2 to review.  The movie is great for girls around age 7 and up.  I think my niece will really enjoy the film, but Wyatt lost interest fairly quick. He did have a favorite part though, which involved a snake.LOL  I thought the movie was good and liked the story.  It shows how special the bond can be between kids and their pets. 

Flicka 2 has a running time of 96 minutes and is rated PG. The DVD includes behind-the-scenes featurettes; a documentary on the North American Mustang; and an in-depth interview with Clint Black; bloopers and more.  Flicka 2 can be purchased online at Amazon.com and retails for $22.98.

    My favorite movie to watch with my family is The Wizard of Oz.. We love to watch this during the spring break!

    Lately it’s been Ponyo! It’s such a cute movie and the storm scenes are so amazing. We’re also a big fan of anything Pixar, and are also totally getting “How To Train Your Dragon” when it comes out on DVD.

    We love to watch any of the old Disney movies, like Escape to Witch Mountain, etc. I love sharing movies that I watched as a kid with my girls.

    A Christmas Story with Ralphie. We love how they play it for 24 hours straight, too! Just love it!
