Review and Giveaway: Hoover Platinum Collection Cordless Stick Vac CLOSED

I have been on the lookout for a LONG time for the most efficient and effective way to clean my hardwood floors. I need something that will not only pick up the trash the boys drag in and dog hair. The Swifter picks up okay, but I always end up with a pile of trash that I have to clean afterwards and the dog hair just flies away. This is why I was so happy to hear about Hoover’s Platinum Collection Cordless Stick Vac.

The Hoover Platinum Collection Cordless Stick Vacuum combines cordless convenience with powerful upright performance. This vacuum weighs under 8 pounds and the Windtunnel Technology and cyclonic filtration combine to outperform traditional corded uprights on hard floors.  The low profile base and extreme recline handle allow for easy access under furniture, which helps you clean those hard to reach spots.

Hoover was nice enough to send me a Stick Vac to review.  Let me start out by saying that I was a little skeptical at first.  This vacuum is cordless and so light that I was not sure that it would have good suction.  Well, did it prove me wrong!  We are now soley using this vacuum for cleaning the floors.  I love that I don’t have to clean a pile of trash after sweeping and it reaches under the sofas and beds without me having to move furniture.

Here is a video showing you how well it sucks up the trash on my hardwood floors.

The best part of this vacuum is that my husband loves it, which means he doesn’t mind cleaning!!  He has cleaned the floors more in the last 3 weeks than in our last 8 years of marriage.  We won’t be spending any more  money on Swifter Pads now that we have found a better option.

Our favorite features of the vacuum, other than performance, are the battery life indicator, the small size, the easy to dump collection vessel, and the versatility.   This product is a must have for hardwood and tile floors.  It will save your back from all the sweeping and furniture moving.

The Hoover Platinum Collection Cordless Stick Vac retails for only $179.99 and can be purchased at Target, Best Buy, and Wal-Mart.  If you are in the market for a new vacuum check out the Hoover Platinum Collection, because if the rest of the collection performs half as well as the Stick Vac you will not be disappointed.
