Date night has changed A LOT for my husband and I over the last 12 years. When we first started “dating”, we would go to dinner or the movies all the time. Then we got married and bought a house, so we would sometimes go out, but also enjoyed our quiet nights at home. Now, with the addition of two little boys, dinner is never quiet and we very rarely make it “out” for dinner. If your nights are usually hectic, like mine, then try Wanchai Ferry and Macaroni Grill Dry Dinner Kits to help you create a special evening in the comfort of your own home.
Here is some information about these boxed dinners: Enjoy an Asian escape with Wanchai Ferry restaurant-inspired dishes by simply adding your own protein to delicious entrees like Cashew Chicken, Spicy Garlic Chicken, Orange Chicken, and Kung Pao Chicken. Or bring the romance of Italian cuisine to your kitchen with Macaroni Grill favorites such as Chicken Piccata and Angel Hair Pasta, Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken & Pasta, Chicken Alfredo with Linguine, Garlic & Herb Chicken Penne, and Chicken Marsala with Linguine.
I was lucky enough to receive the Wanchai Ferry’s Orange Chicken and Macaroni Grill’s Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken to try. I have tried the Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken and Chicken Marsala with Linguine from Macaroni Grill before and really like them both. The Creamy Basil Parmesan is my favorite of these boxed dinners. I had never tried any of the Wanchai Ferry meals, so I was excited to do so. My hubby and I both enjoyed the Orange Chicken, but thought it was a little spicy for the boys, which made it the perfect date night meal.LOL
And, for your entertainment, here is a picture of me and my husband on one of our first dates. This picture is from about 13 years ago, so don’t laugh too much!

We like to put the kids to bed and then watch a movie together. It’s the best way to get some quiet.

Make arrangements to have the kids sleep elsewhere ;).
For a great date at home we put the kids to bed, cook some steaks, open a bottle of wine and relax on the deck
Great food, great movie, and already have great company gives me a great date night.

We put the kids to bed and turn off the phones, computers etc.. Then we order in, bring out the wine and candles and have a great dinner and then watch a movie..
Our date night is actually at our seasonal spot at the campground. There is nothing to distract us and nothing more important to do
We don’t do date nights. We have plenty of time with each other when the children are in bed, and we actually prefer and enjoy to do things as a family.

That’s an easy one for us. Our son is marching band, so every Friday is date night. After we watch the half time show, we go home, open a bottle of wine, put in a romantic old movie and see where it goes! Since he’s always got an after party to go to, we don’t have to worry about hime coming home and “catching” us!
Wine, candles and desserts can do the magic.
