Date night has changed A LOT for my husband and I over the last 12 years. When we first started “dating”, we would go to dinner or the movies all the time. Then we got married and bought a house, so we would sometimes go out, but also enjoyed our quiet nights at home. Now, with the addition of two little boys, dinner is never quiet and we very rarely make it “out” for dinner. If your nights are usually hectic, like mine, then try Wanchai Ferry and Macaroni Grill Dry Dinner Kits to help you create a special evening in the comfort of your own home.
Here is some information about these boxed dinners: Enjoy an Asian escape with Wanchai Ferry restaurant-inspired dishes by simply adding your own protein to delicious entrees like Cashew Chicken, Spicy Garlic Chicken, Orange Chicken, and Kung Pao Chicken. Or bring the romance of Italian cuisine to your kitchen with Macaroni Grill favorites such as Chicken Piccata and Angel Hair Pasta, Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken & Pasta, Chicken Alfredo with Linguine, Garlic & Herb Chicken Penne, and Chicken Marsala with Linguine.
I was lucky enough to receive the Wanchai Ferry’s Orange Chicken and Macaroni Grill’s Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken to try. I have tried the Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken and Chicken Marsala with Linguine from Macaroni Grill before and really like them both. The Creamy Basil Parmesan is my favorite of these boxed dinners. I had never tried any of the Wanchai Ferry meals, so I was excited to do so. My hubby and I both enjoyed the Orange Chicken, but thought it was a little spicy for the boys, which made it the perfect date night meal.LOL
And, for your entertainment, here is a picture of me and my husband on one of our first dates. This picture is from about 13 years ago, so don’t laugh too much!

A fun date night at home is bringing home some good take-out (any kind) and start a fire in the firepit in the back yard and have dinner around the fire. It’s like being away from home (and the TV). Thanks for the giveaway.
Date nights are with my granddaughter, so she get to pick what we will eat, and there is always a snack for watching movies, but best of all is the time and conversations we share.
Send the kids to someone ELSE’s home…

Our favorite date night at home is a camp fire in the back yard.
A fun date night in warm weather is to bring home a take-out meal, eat in the gazebo, start the fire pit burning and watch the stars and talk.

A fun date is to make a gourmet meal and eat at the dining room table with some candles.

Thank you for the giveaway. We have kids so date night is nearly non existent! I’d say cook a nice meal and watch a movie together snuggled up in front of the heat.
Put the baby or kids to bed early so you get the most time out of it!

A nice dessert is my best tip for a date night:)
If you have a fireplace, set up a card table in front of it, cover it with a tablecloth, candles and the nice china. Don’t have this romantic little picnic until the kids, if you have them, are in bed.

Fun date night at home–no kids–sexy dress and romatic music.

If it’s cold out we like to have a picnic in front of the fireplace. There’s something about a roaring fire that makes even ordinary things seem more romantic.

My best tip for date night – snuggling on the couch while watching a movie
Put the kids to bed early and do not tell them you are planning a date night. If you do, they’ll constantly be thinking of excuses to interrupt to see what you are doing.
My best tip for a fun date night at home is to turn off all the cellphones and gadgets, and have some great food by candlelight.
