Date night has changed A LOT for my husband and I over the last 12 years. When we first started “dating”, we would go to dinner or the movies all the time. Then we got married and bought a house, so we would sometimes go out, but also enjoyed our quiet nights at home. Now, with the addition of two little boys, dinner is never quiet and we very rarely make it “out” for dinner. If your nights are usually hectic, like mine, then try Wanchai Ferry and Macaroni Grill Dry Dinner Kits to help you create a special evening in the comfort of your own home.
Here is some information about these boxed dinners: Enjoy an Asian escape with Wanchai Ferry restaurant-inspired dishes by simply adding your own protein to delicious entrees like Cashew Chicken, Spicy Garlic Chicken, Orange Chicken, and Kung Pao Chicken. Or bring the romance of Italian cuisine to your kitchen with Macaroni Grill favorites such as Chicken Piccata and Angel Hair Pasta, Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken & Pasta, Chicken Alfredo with Linguine, Garlic & Herb Chicken Penne, and Chicken Marsala with Linguine.
I was lucky enough to receive the Wanchai Ferry’s Orange Chicken and Macaroni Grill’s Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken to try. I have tried the Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken and Chicken Marsala with Linguine from Macaroni Grill before and really like them both. The Creamy Basil Parmesan is my favorite of these boxed dinners. I had never tried any of the Wanchai Ferry meals, so I was excited to do so. My hubby and I both enjoyed the Orange Chicken, but thought it was a little spicy for the boys, which made it the perfect date night meal.LOL
And, for your entertainment, here is a picture of me and my husband on one of our first dates. This picture is from about 13 years ago, so don’t laugh too much!

Send the kids to Grandmas, bring in food from our favorite restaurant (so I don’t have to cook) and then watch our favorite movie afterward.

Rent a movie and cuddle on the couch!
Thanks for the giveaway…requirements for a fun date night at home include having the kids go to a sleep-over at a friends house, a good movie or two, a blender at the ready for making margaritas, and a bowl of popcorn !

I often cant find a babysitter for my son when I have a date night at home…so I keep him occupied with a new toy or movie so my husband and I can have an adult conversation & meal.

The best tip is to farm out the kids overnight so you can have the time to have fun…
Thanks for the contest.
a good meal and some wine is nice but just enjoying each others company is the main thing
My husband and I often wait to have our dinner or dessert until the kids go to bed. Once they are in bed, we make the house dark, have a candle lit dinner (or dessert) and we talk. We then watch a movie together. It’s simple and romantic. :)
