My whole family is happier when music is playing. My boys just seem to feel better and love to dance when a catchy tune comes on the TV or radio. Watching Nickelodeon one day, I noticed my boys competely entertained by a video, and this was my introduction to Laurie Berkner. They play the videos sporadically, but it is hit or miss, which is why I was glad to see that Nickelodeon released Laurie Berkner: Lets Hear It for the Laurie Berkner Bandon DVD.
Here is some information about Laurie Berkner: Laurie Berkner was the first children’s singer ever to appear in music videos on Nick Jr. An award-winning, best-selling children’s author and songwriter she has penned two books and released six CDs and a quadruple-platinum-selling DVD. Parenting Magazine describes Laurie as “The Pied Piper of preschool.” The Laurie Berkner Band performs across North America, with concerts held at varied venues from the White House to Carnegie Hall. You can find out more about the band by visiting www.laurieberkner.com.
Laurie Berkner: Lets Hear It for the Laurie Berkner Band DVD includes the following dance-along music videos:
1. “Who’s That?”
2. “Victor Vito”

Nickelodeon was nice enough to send my family a copy of Laurie Berkner: Lets Hear It for the Laurie Berkner Band on DVD review. Blake and Wyatt already knew a few of the song and really like “Five Days Old”, but they found a new favorite in “Farm Song”. I find these songs to be whimsical, very catchy, and high energy. I think my boys could sing and dance along for hours, which is great exercise for those super hot days when we can’t go outside.
Laurie Berkner: Lets Hear It for the Laurie Berkner Band has a running time of 44 minutes and includes the Special Features: Moose & Zee Music Videos- “Everywhere I Go”, “Music Makes Me”, “Words of Wonder”, and “We’re Going on a Trip”. This DVD retails for $16.99 and can be purchased now from amazon.com.
