Ever have one of those days where you want a hot, tasty meal, but have no desire to cook? This happens to me when I have had a super long day and am worn out. If this you some nights, then you should check out the gourmet frozen food selection available from Michael Angelo’s.
Here is some information about Michael Angelo’s from their site: Michael Angelo’s wants to provide your family with the most delicious and nutritious meals possible. That’s why we only use the finest, high quality ingredients: 100% premium meats – fresh, never frozen; authentic Italian cheeses made using Old World methods, 100% durum wheat semolina pasta, fresh herbs and spices; fresh vegetables and specially selected, vine-ripened tomatoes. We make our meals from scratch every day, hand assembling each dinner and inspecting it for quality, just before we ship them out to your local supermarket. This made-to-order process ensures you the freshest food and an outstanding homemade taste only an Italian mother could duplicate. We will never include artificial colors, artificial flavors, fillers, chemical preservatives or other unnatural additives in our foods. As Michael says, “If you can’t find it in Mom’s kitchen, we won’t use it in our food.”
Michael Angelo’s was nice enough to send my family some coupons for us to try a few of their frozen meals. We checked out the selection and decided on the Shrimp Scampi, Vegatable Lasagna, Family Size Eggplant
Parmesan, and Family Size Lasagna with Meat Sauce. My husband and kids went to town on the Shrimp Scampi, which was a little high in fat in calories for me, but I must agree with them that it was yummy. The pasta had a great flavor and the shrimp were a good size. I ate the Vegatable Lasagna and was really impressed. It had hunks of zucchini and broccoli florets on top and a great flavor. I would definitely purchase both of these items again.
The Eggplant Parmesan and Lasagna were perfect for dinner. Just make sure you leave enough time, about 1.5 hours, for baking. They were rich in flavor and the kids both made happy plates. The family meals were enough for my husband, both boys, and I to have dinner and still have enough left for lunch the next day.
Michael Angelo’s Gourmet Foods are available at your local grocery, warehouse clubs, and natural food stores. Here some of the meals that are available: Chicken with Creamy Garlic, Vegatable Lasagna, Chicken Cacciatore, Four Cheese Lasagna, Chicken Penne Rustica, Chicken Parmesan, Lasagna with Meat Sauce, Chicken Piccata, Baked Eggplant Layered with Tomato-Chicken Sauce, Lasagna with Sausage, Chicken Toscana, Eggplant Parmesan, Shrimp Scampi, and Baked Ziti and Meatballs.
