When I was asked to review Modern Family: The Complete First Seasonon DVD, I didn’t know much about the series.  I decided to catch an episode on TV, to see what it was all about, and I laughed the entire show.  It was then and there that I said “YES!”, I would love to review this series and see all the episodes I missed.

Here is the synopsis of the Modern Family series:  Modern Family takes a refreshing and funny view of what it means to raise a family in this hectic day and age.  Multi-cultural relationships, adoption, and same-sex marriage are just a few of the timely issues faced by the show’s three wildly-diverse broods.  No matter the size or shape, family always comes first in this hilariously “modern” look at life, love, and laughter.

20th Century Fox was nice enough to send me over a copy of Modern Family: The Complete First Season on DVD to review.  This series is a definite MUST SEE!!  I find it absolutely hilarious and full of everday situations happening to  your average family.  Ed O’Neill has always been a favorite of mine, and he does another great job in this series.  I had my husband watch an episode with me and he was also entertained.

Modern Family: The Complete First Season is a 4-disc box set that is available in either Blu-Ray for $59.99 or DVD for $49.98.  These DVDs have many special features, including:  deleted, extended, and alternate scenes; deleted family interviews; gag reel; Fizbo the Clown; and more.  This series is available for purchase now from amazon.com.

    I have always liked Ed O’Neill and would tune in just to see him. I’ve yet to see the series but have heard so much positive feedback about it that I’d like to catch up.

    I “think” my favorite is Mitch, but it’s a tough call, because every character is so likable, talented, and funny. LOVE this show!
