Wyatt is your typical boy that is fascinated by all things gross, and he loves his books! The combination of these two qualities makes for very interesting story time at my house. The stranger the book, the happier he seems. This is why I knew he would love National Geographic Kid’s Weird But True 300 Outrageous Facts Book.
Here is the basis of this book: Weird But True is based on the hugely popular magazine page of quirky, fun facts that many readers of National Geographic Kids magazine turn to first. It contains plenty of facts that kids will find cool and fun.
National Geographic Kids was nice enough to send us a copy of Weird But True to review. Wyatt LOVED this book and we had to read it every night until we were done. He has since gone back and read many on the pages again! His favorite fact was that Gorillas burp when they are happy, which he now tells everyone that we meet.LOL I was impressed by all the color photos and enjoyed learning all these crazy facts along with Wyatt.
I would recommend this book to all parents and think that it would make a great addition to Easter Baskets or a birthday gift. It encourages kids to read and teaches them that learning can be fun!
Weird But True is a 208 page softback book and is targeted for kids ages 6 and up. This book retails for $6.95 and can be purchased from National Geographic.com.
