Review and Giveaway: Progresso Reduced Sodium Soups CLOSED

Since I began my quest to lose all the weight I gained having the boys, I stay on the lookout for healthier ways to eat. I love eating a hot bowl of soup with saltine crackers, especially in the winter. Thanks to the new Reduced Sodium Soup line from Progresso, I can eat canned soup without the guilt of consuming lots of added sodium.

Here is some information about Progresso’s Reduced Sodium Soup Line:  Now many of our delicious reduced sodium soups may help lower cholesterol. Look for this label and enjoy to your heart’s content.  There are five Progresso Reduced Sodium favorites – Italian Style Wedding, Minestrone, Garden Vegetable, Beef and Vegetable, and Chicken Gumbo – contain hearty vegetables and legumes to provide 1g of heart healthy soluble fiber in every bowl.  And be sure to keep an eye out for the all-new Tomato Parmesan Reduced Sodium soup at your local grocery store for a unique blend of delicious flavors.

Progresso was nice enough to send me a couple cans of their reduced sodium soup to try.  I received the Tomato Parmesan and Chicken Gumbo.  Living in New Orleans, I expect my gumbo to taste a certain way, and this Chicken Gumbo was okay.  It had decent flavor and would work in a pinch.  I am not a fan of tomato soup, but I decided to give this one a try.  I was surprised that I actually like the flavor, and I am convinced it was the parmesan that made the difference.  These soups make a great lunch for me at work and I like that they are healthier for me.
