Review and Giveaway: SpongeBob SquarePants-Legends of Bikini Bottom DVD CLOSED

Just in time to stuff into your kid’s stockings, Nickelodeon has released SpongeBob SquarePants: Legends of Bikini Bottomon DVD!  Which is great for me, because all the boys in our family get a kick out SpongeBob SquarePants, and this makes holiday shopping easier for me.

 

Here is some information about this new release:  Experience an all-new, spine-tingling adventure with SpongeBob, Patrick and the gang in the DVD premiere of SpongeBob SquarePants: Legends of Bikini Bottom, which bows on DVD ten weeks before its on-air premiere in January 2011.  Even the spineless will squirm as SpongeBob and Patrick find themselves held prisoner by a backward gang. SpongeBob and pals look for a way out of the Bikini Bottom Triangle and an evil hag curses the Krusty Krab!  Try not to laugh as Patrick finds he has lots in common with a monster that invades town, SpongeBob and Patrick search for a drain that once destroyed the city, and a volcanic eruption brings an ancient warrior to Bikini Bottom.  This never-before-seen journey from the Emmy Award®-winning SpongeBob SquarePants contains six legends in one swell adventure.

The six episodes included on this disc are:  The Monster Who Came to Bikini Bottom, Welcome to Bikini Bottom Triangle, The Main Drain, Trenchbillies, Sponge-cano!, and The Curse of the Hex.

Nickelodeon was nice enough to send me a copy of SpongeBob SquarePants: Legends of Bikini Bottom to review.  As usual, Wyatt is more than happy to watch SpongeBob and tell me what he thinks, which is always that it was so funny.   His favorite episode was “The Main Drain” and Wyatt is now convinced next time we go to the beach he will find the drain.  He told his cousin all about these new episodes, and now it is on his wish list.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Legends of Bikini Bottom has a running time of 68 minutes and includes the special features, Behind-the-Scenes: Legends of Bikini Bottom, and 3 Animated Shorts: Things To Do When Encountering Legendary Creatures, Dance Break, and The Legend of SpongeBob.  This DVD, which is available now, retail for $19.99 and can be purchased from amazon.com.
