I have been blessed with two boys, who both love books. My older one goes through them quite quickly, now that he has learned to read, and the baby loves books that are interactive. Very rarely will I find a book that entertains them both, but that is exactly what happened with The Robot Book.
Here is what The Robot Book is all about: This robot has two eyes, two arms, and two legs, but what really makes him tick? Inside The Robot Book, Heather Brown answers that question with an interactive story that will enchant tinkerers of all ages. The working—and moving—gears, cogs, nuts, and bolts mounted on each beautifully illustrated spread will keep little fingers busy and imaginations engaged as the charming story reveals the secret behind what really makes the robot tick. The Robot Book is a unique way to introduce children to one of life’s most important lessons: It’s what’s on the inside that counts. With striking artwork, interactive components, and a poignant message, it’s impossible not to fall in love with The Robot Book. Perfect for year-round gift giving!
My boys were lucky enough to receive The Robot Book for review. Wyatt immediately went to moving all the parts in the book, while reading the story. He read the book to me, while showing me all the different parts of the robot and how he moved. He has read this story multiple times since and really enjoys the mechanics of the book. Blake then found the book in Wyatt’s room and was fascinated with all the things he could play with in the book. He sat there for about 10 minutes flipping the pages and playing. Here is a video of Wyatt reading the book and showing you how it works.
My favorite thing about this book, other than the fact that my boys love it, is that it is sturdy! After they have read the book and both played with it multiple times, it still looks brand new! This is a great book for kids and toddlers and would make a great holiday gift with a pair of robot pjs.
The Robot Book is available for purchase now from amazon.com and retails for $16.99.

My daughter’s favorite book when she was little was “Panda Bear’s Paint Box”. I got so sick of reading that to her. Not really a plot in it. Mostly just mixing colors. Then, when I started complaining about reading it yet again (she had so many others to read); her brother would egg her on. I must have read that book a thousand times. When she got married and had her own child, I made a miniature scene from the book for her, and used copies of the book covers as the walls.
