Wyatt is one of those kids that wants to make every animal he sees his “pet”. This goes for everthing from puppies to the snails that he finds in the yard. But, since I have my limits, he usually does not get his way. This is why I am always on the search for low maintenance pets for him, to keep him happy. This is how I came across Wild Creations and their Eco-Aquarium, complete with African Dwarf Frogs!!
Here is some information about Wild Creations from their site: Our belief at Wild Creations is grounded in an understanding of this interconnection and developed in the context of a close relationship with the earth and cosmos and a profound reverence for animals, plants, soil, water, and air. This reverence towards life is the basis for how we will conduct business and the basis for choosing the organizations we personally support. The Sierra Club is important to ensure that we have responsible legislation that protects our environment and The Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council is essential to make sure that the pet industry operates to the highest standards. For you all of this means we focus all our efforts on making the best product and giving you great service before and after the sale.
Wild Creations was nice enough to send us an Eco-Aquarium to review. Wyatt was thrilled when his new pets arrived and couldn’t wait to help me prepare their habitat! The assembly of the eco-aquarium was super easy and only took about 4 steps. The only thing that I had to buy was a gallon of spring water and we were ready. The frogs are much smaller than I imagined, but really cute, and cool to watch. Blake was fascinated by the frogs and kept going back to the aquarium to watch them. Here is a picture of what an assembled Eco-Aquarium looks like:
Wyatt has named his new friends “Frogo” and “Sonic”. One frog is actually lighter in color so it is easy to tell them apart. They frogs are easy to care for and only need to be fed every 2 days. Their aquarium water only needs to be changed every 3 months. This is the kind of pet I am willing to take care of. LOL We have had our frogs for around 3 weeks now and they are still alive and healthy, which means that they must be easy to maintain. Here is a picture of “Frogo” and “Sonic”:

My kids would love everything. Especially my son, I’m just going to have to place it up high like I did with the butterflies. Otherwise they would be all played with! :)
