Our family loves watching anything animated. Even before we had kids, we would sit around and watch animated movies. When Avatar: The Last Airbender first started airing on Nickelodeon, my husband would wait each week for the newest episode to air. It didn’t take long for my husband to get Wyatt interested in the show and they then started watching together. Much to their excitement, Avatar: The Last Airbender The Complete Book 1 Collector’s Edition was just released on DVD!

Nickelodeon was nice enough to send my family a copy of Avatar: The Last Airbender The Complete Book 1 Collector’s Edition to review. This DVD sparked my husbands interest first since it was Avatar: The Last Airbender and secondly it is a collector’s edition. He loves special releases, since they contain extras, and this DVD delivered! Wyatt and my husband popped some popcorn and sat down the enjoy some of the episodes that got them hooked on the series.
The cool bonus features on this DVD release include: Behind-the-Scenes with the Avatar Cast & Crew, Avatar Pilot Episode with Audio Commentary, The Making of Avatar – Inside the Sound Studios, The Making of Avatar – Inside the Korean Animation Studios, and Avatar Documentary.
This DVD was released at the perfect time, so that my boys can brush up on their Avatar: The Last Airbender knowledge before the live action movie is released.
