If your child watches Cartoon Network, then you know all about Johnny Test. We have watched the show a few times and it is one of my nephews favorites. Just in case you have not heard about Johnny Test, I am here to fill you in on this show.
Johnny Test tells the adventures of Johnny Test, an average 11-year-old boy, who lives with his intelligent twin sisters, Susan and Mary and his talking (and talkative) dog Dukey, in the town of Porkbelly. As a recurring gag, the twins use their young brother as their test subject for various experiments (thus their surname of Test), of which to impress Gil, their next-door neighbor. At times Johnny will “borrow” some of the devices and special powers that the sisters had developed and invented to do their own dirty work, and then try to undo disasters and messes that they have created, as well as to fight evil villains found in Porkbelly.
NCircle Entertainment was nice enough to send us a copy of Johnny Test: Johnny X and Super Pooch to review. Wyatt has seen the show before and really liked it, but I felt that it was a little mature for his age, which is 5, so I let my 9 year old nephew check out this new release. I think the concept of the show is adorable, but the show is more geared for ages 7 and up in my opinion. My nephew was so excited to watch this and really enjoyed it, and even though he had seen some of the episodes, he watched the whole DVD in one sitting.
This 60 minute long DVD features 6 episodes and has a SRP of $6.99. This show has great appeal to both boys and girls, and at this price, you could make this a stocking stuffer or gift for any kid on your list. To purchase this DVD, just visit NCircle Entertainment.
My son loves this show and sings and dances to the theme song when he hears it come on. We actually rented this DVD when it first came out and it was pretty enjoyable. My little guy is only 4 and while he doesn’t get everything that is on he show what little boy doesn’t like to see another boy have fireball farts? Glad your nephew enjoyed the episodes.
