Am I the only one who is amazed by how all the cartoons that I watched as a kid are making a comeback? It is like Wyatt likes watching older cartoons as much as the new ones. Recently, he has discovered the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I might be showing my age, but I dressed up as a ninja turtle my freshman year of high school.LOL And, to all those turtle fans out there, be on the look out for Nickelodeon’s release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles Forever, which was a TV movie that is being released for the first time on DVD.
Here is the synopsis of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: They are a team of four mutant turtles, trained by their beloved rat sensei, Master Splinter, in the art of Ninjutsu. Named after four Renaissance artists, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael, they battle petty criminals, evil megalomaniacs and alien invaders, all while remaining isolated from society at large in their home in the sewers of New York.
In this new release, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles Forever, the turtles from one dimension meet the turtles from another dimension when a teleporting mishap occurs. Together, all the turtles must locate the Technodrome to fix this mess. Meanwhile, Shredder tracks down his counterpart, Ch’rell, who devises a master plan to travel back to the Prime Universe to get rid of the turtles once and for all! As worlds collide, the turtles come face to face with the classic characters like Splinter, Casey and April, and a slew of archenemies including Krang, Hun, the Foot Soldiers, the Purple Dragons, Bebop and Rocksteady.
Nickelodeon was nice enough to send us a copy of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles Forever to review. Wyatt thinks the turtle are “awesome”, so he was really excited to see this DVD when it arrived. It definitely lived up to his expectations! He used the words “so cool” and “awesome” at least 10 times when he was telling me all about the show.LOL His favorite turtle is Donatello, because he is the scientist and inventor. This is his new favorite DVD for car rides.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles Forever has a running time of 73 minutes and retails for $16.99. It is available for purchase now from Amazon.com.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS REVIEW IS MY OPINION. THANK YOU TO NICKELODEON AND PARAMOUNT HOME ENTERTAINMENT FOR SUPPLYING THIS PRODUCT FOR REVIEW.
