Are you looking for a way to get your kids excited about reading? Then you must check out the shadow books available from WJ Fantasy, which are sure to bring fun to storytime. Shadow books allow kids to share in the fun, since they create the shadows they see by shining a flashlight on the die-cut pages, which bring the images to life.
WJ Fantasy offers a variety of books, blocks and toys for all ages. Their shadow books are available in three titles: “Camping Out,” “Forest Fairies” and “Time for Bed.” These books come with a flashlight and have 26 pages.
WJ Fantasy was nice enough to send us a shadow book to review. We chose the “Camping Out” title, which is a story about three boys who are on a backyard camping adventure that leads to mystery. This book is super cute and the shadows show up really well. Here is a picture of how the book works.
The shadow book is lots of fun for both Wyatt and I. Wyatt loved the book and enjoyed making shadow puppets on the wall with the flashlight after reading the book. We make a tent out of Wyatt’s bed, which makes the book even more fun. I love that it comes with its own little flashlight and shows kids that storytime is better when you use your imagination.
WJ Fantasy Shadow Books retail for only $15.oo and are recommended for ages 3 and up. I was so happy to see that the books not only provide the flashlight, but it also includes batteries. When you remove the shrink wrap, the book is ready to go.
These books can be purchased from WJ Fantasy and make a great gift any kid, whether they love books or not. They would also make great stocking stuffers. I only wish they offered more titles.
