Ride the Rails with Chuggington and Brewster’s Little Helper on DVD

Do you have a train fan in your house?  Well then, it is time for them to get excited, because a new Chuggington DVD has just been released.

Brewster’s Little Helper  is sure to have your preschoolers honking their horns alongside their favorite trainees, Wilson, Brewster and Koko, through six energetic episodes!

Here is a list of the episodes, and their synopsis, which are included on Brewster’s Little Helper:

Nurse Wilson- Nurse David comes to explain how the ambulance car works. Dumbar loses his voice and tries to rest and recuperate. Wilson tries to take care of him and fixes him with some warm oil.

Wilson and the Paintwagon – Dumbar trains the trainees on how to use the paintwagon. Olwynn comes to use the paintwagon and teaches Koko and Brewster how to mix colors. Pete helps Wilson fine tune his painting skills.

Koko Takes Charge – Koko offers  to help Irving with the recycling while he goes to the dock. But she doesn’t follow Irving’s directions and things start to go wrong. Wilson offers to help but they get silly instead of focusing on getting the job done. Irving is disappointed but Koko and Wilson take responsibility and stay up all night cleaning up their mess. Good lesson in accepting responsibility.

Brewster’s Little Helper – Zephie steals some of Brewster’s work – but can’t do the job properly and gets all of the deliveries mixed up AND ends up derailing. Meanwhile some of the workers at the yard need Zephie. Zephie apologizes for taking on too much and Brewster apologizes for laughing at him because he is so small.

Brewster Knows Best – The trainees get a lesson, kind of like a scavenger hunt with clues, in following specific instructions. Koko and Wilson rush ahead but Brewster takes him time and figures out the surprise. The surprise is getting to see the new Action Chugger movie … with Action Chugger himself!

Zephie’s Zoomaround – Zephie is given a siren because she doesn’t have a horn. She misuses it so Eddie took it away. After she has a real accident and wishes she had it, she earns it back. Olwynn, a new character, suggested the siren for Zephie.

My four-year-old train fanatic Devin was thrilled to check out another Chugginton DVD. Devin really likes Wilson, which is probably why favorite episode was Wilson and the Paintwagon.  The trainees are up to their usual tricks, and some new characters are introduced. I liked the inclusion of a few Safety Tips before the episodes began. The episodes are a quick 10 minutes each, which is just enough time to enjoy a story without spending too much time in front of the television.

Chuggington: Brewster’s Little Helper has a running time of 61 minutes and retails for $14.98.  This DVD is available for purchase now from amazon.com.

THANKS TO ANCHOR BAY ENTERTAINMENT FOR SUPPLYING THIS DVD FOR REVIEW.  ALL OPINIONS STATED ARE MY OWN.
