One of Blake’s favorite breakfast items is oatmeal, especially the fruit ones, but I always dread fixing it because it takes sooo long to cool. In the morning he is hungry and does not want to wait 2 minutes for the oatmeal to cook and then another 5 minutes for it to cool down enough for him to eat. Since I was having trouble finding a way around this issue, Blake would eat his oatmeal for dinner, until I was introduce to Seneca Farms Oatmeal & Fruit bowls.
Here is some information about Seneca Farms from their site: Our snack products are made in Yakima, WA, the gateway to the Cascade Mountains and where the Naches and Yakima Rivers join. Our 300 days of sunshine provide perfect growing conditions for the fresh fruits and vegetables we love to use. Our Oatmeal & Fruit items are made in the heart of Central California – one of the greatest agricultural areas in the country! At Seneca, we believe in farming and making great products in a sustainable, environmentally friendly way. Seneca products are made from fresh, whole fruits and vegetables, and contain no trans-fats, no cholesterol, and 30 percent less fat than a typical snack chip.
Seneca Farms was nice enough to send my family a sample of their Oatmeal & Fruit to try. I cooked, using that term very loosely, since all I did was open and heat in the microwave for 45 seconds the Apple and Cinnamon Oatmeal & Fruit for Blake. The first thing I noticed were the big chunks of apple and then the yummy cinnamon scent. Since I only heated it for 45 seconds the oatmeal was cool and ready for Blake to eat in under 5 minutes. He really liked the oatmeal and ate the whole bowl! I love that I can prepare this snack just about anywhere, because I don’t need milk or water!
Seneca Farms Oatmeal & Fruit are currently available in two flavors, Apple Cinnamon and Vanilla Peach. They are sold in packs of two 6oz servings and can be purchased at Wal-Mart and many grocery chains. For a coupon to try Seneca Farms Oatmeal & Fruit, click here.
