Remember that feeling when you were younger and school was done for the year? For me, I think that feeling is best described as freedom!! Summer meant no homework, long days playing with friends, and an over all laid back feeling. Now that I am a parent, summer once again brings freedom, with no homework and less activities, our family is enjoying the longer days and taking time together. Summer has officially arrived, and Saturday mornings are much more relaxed, since Religion class is out! The boys are thrilled to sleep late, well one of them sleeps late, and lounge around. It gets hot quick here in New Orleans, so we decided to take breakfast out on the porch this morning before the heat kicked in full force. Blueberry Pancakes and a bowl of fresh Blueberries were the perfect breakfast for outdoor dining and our Dixie Ultra plates and bowls held everything perfectly.
The boys were thrilled to eat outside and really enjoyed our “special” breakfast! It made me realize that my oldest has really grown this last year and we might need to invest in a bigger table for him.LOL

Dixie plates are the only way to go when we have a cookout. They don’t fold or buckle at all, so we never have to worry about our food falling on the ground!

My kids love eating outside!!! We like to use a picnic blanket. We lived in New Orleans when my 2nd daughter was born. It does get very hot there.
