A couple of weeks ago, we packed up the car and headed out for vacation to Grapevine, TX. While researching the Grapevine area, I learned that they had a Legoland and knew this was a must do on our trip.
This Legoland location is in a mall, which made it easy find and park. The line to buy tickets was really long, and one couple told me they waited 2 hours in line, so make sure to pre-order your tickets. The will call line was only about a 15 minute wait and the kids were easily occupied. Once in, you watch a short video and then learn how legos are made.
The next attraction in Legoland is the Kingdom Quest ride, which is an interactive ride where you must shoot all the skeletons and ogres to save the dragon eggs. This was a big hit with Wyatt. Then we found the Lego City Play Zone, which a huge indoor play area. This was Blake’s favorite thing and he played for about an hour in this area. The staff running the play area were very attentive and super nice.
Both boys enjoyed the 4-D movie experience, where we saw Clutch Powers. The cinema doesn’t seat a bunch of people, so make sure to get in line early. They movies run every 15 minutes and they rotate three different selections, which I thought was really nice.
There is also a Duplo village for toddlers and a Princess section for girls, but we did not spend much time at either. They also have a cafe that serves sandwiches, snacks, and drinks. The restrooms were clean and easy to find. And, if you are a local, you should know that they host kids birthday parties! Even though Legoland was crowded on the day we visited, we were able to move around without much trouble.
After you are finished playing in Legoland, they have a huge store on your way out. So, make sure you are prepared to shop!
Overall, both my kids really enjoyed the Legoland experience! The whole experience takes around 3-4 hours to get through, depending on how long your kids play. Ticket prices are $19.00 for adults (age 13+), $15.00 for children (age 3-12), and children aged 2 and under go free. Remember to pre-order your tickets from Legoland. It was definitely a nice way to beat the heat on a summer day!
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS REVIEW IS MY OPINION. THANK YOU TO LEGOLAND FOR SUPPLYING COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS TO FACILITATE MY REVIEW.

i like the pricing, so many kid centered attractions are priced way too high lately!

I just took 2 of my grand-daughters, age 4 & 9, to LegoLand in grapevine, TX. yesterday I was disappointed. We waited in line for over an hour just to get in. It was rather pricey-cost $53 for 2 kids 1 adult. When asked why so long of a wait, I was told it was to control occupation since space is limited; I was also told that “This is the only time you will have to wait in line.” Not true. We waited for 45 minutes-1 hr for the rides. The place was packed! My 4-yr-old kept getting slammed into by bigger kids, she was also 1 inch too short to go into the large play area, which I do not recall seeing height restriction mentioned on the website. it is located inside a mall, so was easy to find but not very roomy inside. You see the whole thing in 20 minutes, so then either spend your time waiting in line for a ride or repeating it all again. My grandkids did have fun, but nothing spectacular. My opinion, especially if your kids are under 40 inches tall (as this will restrict them from some activities): Use the money to go buy some Legos and play at home.
