Here is a little secret about me, I have a really big sweet tooth. I must have a sweet treat after lunch and dinner each day. Needless to say, this is not a good thing for a lady who is trying to maintain her girlish figure. But, I think I may have found a way around this little problem of mine, since I was recently introduced to WhoNu? Cookies.
Here is some information about WhoNu? Cookies from their site: WhoNu? is a new brand of cookies loaded with 20 essential vitamins and minerals, plus 3 grams of dietary fiber, created to look and taste like family favorites. The brand was created to serve as an alternative to other indulgent, nutrition-poor treats on the market, allowing family treat time to be a nutrition-rich occasion. They are the only cookie on the market that provides 20 percent or more of the daily allowance of vitamin C, calcium, vitamin D, iron, vitamin E, vitamin B12 and vitamin A, along with 3 grams of dietary fiber.
WhoNu? was nice enough to send me some of their cookies to try with my family. At first I was hesitant, because lets face it I have tried healthier cookies before and wound up eating something that tasted like cardboard. It just wasn’t ever worth it to me to give up the calories if it didn’t taste good, until now. WhoNu? cookies are yummy!! My favorite is the chewy chocolate chip, which is great with a big glass of milk. The whole family loves these cookies and no one is even on to the fact that they are a healthier version. My mom who can’t consume large amounts of sugar stole my box of Crispy Chocolate Chip when she realized there is only 3 grams of sugar per cookie!!
These cookies are regular sized, not some tiny version of what others try to pass off as being better, when actually it is just a smaller serving size. And, there are three cookies to a serving. I am usually satisfied with two of these cookies. I am really excited that I found a way to have dessert and not feel so guilty. I also like the fact that my kids are gaining something more than just sugar from a snack they choose.
WhoNu? Cookies will be available nationwide at major retailers beginning July 2011 and will sell for around $3.00 a box. These cookies come in four kid-familiar forms and flavors: Soft & Chewy Chocolate Chip, Crispy Chocolate Chip, Vanilla Sandwich and Chocolate Sandwich varieties.
Would your family like to try these nutrition rich cookies? WhoNu? is offering TWO lucky readers a chance to win a prize pack including one box of each flavor of WhoNu? cookies and a $25 Wal-Mart gift card to restock your cookie stash when it gets low.
